I'm not a Gun Nut but am Crazy about Selfdefense.

I'm an Old School Brother. Very old school when it comes to self defense, which I consider a high expression of self love.

Elite liberals feel only the police and military should have firearms, not out of Second Amendment support, but as outsourced protection. They see themselves as too good to bother defending themselves.

Grassroots leftist friends usually want to greatly limit private firearms ownership but have in their ranks folks like a friend who supports an armed public (she might say proletariat) and actually wants to own a tank.

I want her to have a tank. She wouldn't use it to attack or rob anyone, which places her head and shoulders above criminals doing both without tanks or armored personnel carriers. We'll discuss whether its cannon would be operational. Lol

My opinion is there should be few limits on types of weapons one should own if one doesn't have a violent criminal history or is mentally ill. Engaging in criminal activity is an obvious disqualifier.

Legislators and other elected officials safely tucked behind metal detectors, key card accessible doors, worshipful staff and vigilant law enforcement officers make rules that don't make self defense easy for non elected officials.

I favored constitutional, or permitless, concealed weapons carry before pandemic shutdowns and favor it more so as COVID19 policies have applications piled to the ceiling in the State Police office which issues concealed carry permits. Increasing  violent crime rates also argue in favor of law abiding citizens carrying concealed weapons without penalty.

Home invasion by groups, a norm long before the pandemic, should be met by firearms which don't have arbitrary limits on the number of bullets in their magazines. AR 15s, often called a "weapon of war" by detractors, is just what one needs if groups try forced entry into houses or businesses. Same with shotguns.

I also don't oppose possession of knives, swords, spears, throwing stars, cross bows, brass knuckles, nun chucks, bolos, clubs, expandable batons, stun guns, tasers, pepper spray, pepper foam, pepper gel, mace, and other non firearm self defense tools.

Possession exceptions include, not being funny, flame throwers, biological and nuclear weapons and lasers strong enough to harm or kill- though lasers face revision since we're on the cusp of handheld or long gun style particle beam weapons similar to phasers used in Star Trek. One day they may be deemed a newly legal upgrade of "firearm."

Techniques like learning traditional martial arts, MMA, boxing, etc., are great weapons-free self defense options. In time, you become a potential weapon.

The  "weapon" I promote most of all is a #selfdefenseisselflove mindset where you "arm" yourself against demonizing tools and techniques for self defense. Moral people often feel guilty or evil at the mere mention of self defense. I invite them to explore perspectives where not doing so is the real immorality.

We're not created to be intimidated nor violated. Anyone using force opens the door for its use in return.

The Second Amendment doesn't have to be your first choice. Firearms inherently bring possible prosecution and civil liability to the table. That's why Second Amendment and gun control advocates agree on at least one thing: the need for proper training.

I just want you to choose to defend yourselves however comfort zones and the law allows.

Your safety is my happiness. :)
