These Federal Officers are not Secret Police

Now famous federal officers in Portland, Oregon, are members of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and US Border Patrol deputized by DHS agency, Federal Protective Service (FPS), to help FPS secure federal property and investigate riot suspects.

Critics accuse them of being "secret police."

Name tags on uniforms were removed to avoid doxxing of agents home addresses and families. The military style of these uniforms are due to use for riot duty and officers SWAT team role in their home agencies, requiring durable, chemical and ballistic resistant garb. Agency insignia are on camoflauge uniforms but not in large print.

Derrick Hollie, the Black conservative who recently debated this deployment on Roland Martin Unfiltered, could have researched this information. Instead, his passion but lack of specifics miscast him as supporting authoritarianism instead of supporting restoring order.

These officers aren't secret police, they're part of known federal law enforcement agencies mobilized to rescue a beseiged federal courthouse.
